After graduating from S.U.N.Y. at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Caroline worked in a NYC bank as a loan officer for five years. Although she was well compensated, she did not find banking rewarding.
During that time of soul searching, a very dear friend introduced Caroline to the Montessori teaching method and philosophy. It made so much sense to her that she quickly realized she wanted to learn much more about it. She decided to pursue her Montessori teaching certificate. She received her teaching certification at the Center for Montessori Teacher Education (CMTE). She has taught a total of 18 years at a few Montessori schools. Twelve of those years have been spent teaching at Fields of Green.
Her son, Daniel, attended Fields of Green for six years and is now in college. He started preschool at age three and completed third grade at FOG. Daniel acclimated very well to fourth grade at Hardyston Elementary School. At that time, Caroline decided to substitute at the Hardyston and Vernon public school districts. She learned a tremendous amount substituting for three years and in getting familiar with the public school system. She realized, however, that she missed the joy, creativity, and opportunity that she experienced in a Montessori classroom. She returned to Fields of Green and has been happy ever since!
