Jessica's son, Luca, now 3 years old, entered the Seedlings program when he was 18 months old.
At the time she was working for NAEP, which required her to travel to different public schools in New Jersey.
She would test the children in the 4th, 8th and 12th grades on Math, Reading and Science.
